"Let's Play Some NSFW Demos!" O&T Posts

The other reason I'm showing NSFW games is because I don't like censorship and things being challenged because they make people uncomfortable. You not liking something means YOU don't engage with it. It doesn't give you the right to tell everyone else, "No."

RULES!

Typically, there are 4 demos. Each demo gets 30 minutes, not including the adjustment of settings and character creation. I might up it to 5 and/or play a great game for longer if there are technical issues. Or a demo finishes before the timer goes off.
And NO AI's spit, aka. plagiarism laundering.

To avoid triggering people, I avoided games that include violent rape, or as people who don't want to be demonetized by certain platforms put it, due to censorship, "non-consensual sex". There are a myriad of reasons as to why it would show up in games, just like they show up in other forms of media, but I'm not showing them here.

I will, however, learning from the Pilot episode, show games that downplay their "non-consensual sex" by making it funny and explaining why doing so could be problematic and cause some issues with those who do not have a strong understanding or grasp of consent.

The 4 demos I attempted to play for your enjoyment are:

1. The Divine Speaker: The Sun and the Moon by Two and a Half Studios - Available
   The story-rich 18+ prequel to The Divine Speaker. Follow alongside Aemyl and Lucius in a two-sided story about the past and the future.
   CONTENT WARNING: The Divine Speaker: The Sun and the Moon features consensual sex scenes between male adults.
2. My Lovely Empress by GameChanger Studio & Neon Doctrine - Available
   My Lovely Empress is an empire management sim inspired by Asian mythology. As the Emperor of the Crimson Empire, you will build relations with neighboring rulers, balance internal factions, and ensure the prosperity of your people, all before you reap their souls to resurrect your beloved empress.
   CONTENT WARNING: May contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: Infrequent Violence, General Mature Content, and Sexual Content.
   - Visually sexual content and violence.
   - Textual interactive romance.
3. Souper Game by SinBeans Studio - Planned Release Date: 2025
   Immerse yourself in a magical world by playing as a magical Soup: charm a beautiful elf girl and save her from the nasty Troll. Cook, upgrade ingredients, and avoid the danger of being eaten. But remember: not every soup is worthy of winning a girl's heart!
   CONTENT WARNING: This game may contain content not suitable for all ages or for viewing at work: occasional nudity or sexual content, mature content.
4. Yoshima: Hentai Simulator by Sugureta - Available
   Yoshima: Hentai Simulator is a 2D game with a lot of mechanics. It is always exhausting to look for apartment, but fortune is at your side now! Welcome your new roommate, Yoshima! Can you find the key to her heart? Don't forget to pay the rent!
   CONTENT WARNING: All characters in the game are adults. The game contains adult content including nudity and NSFW content. The game contains alcohol consumption, some profanity.
   The game features nude girl and animated H-scenes. The game contains adult material and scenes of a sexual nature with various fetishes that some viewers may find offensive: blowjob, titjob, cunnilingus, vaginal, anal, non-penetrative sexual acts, creampie. All sex in the game is consensual.

The Divine Speaker: The Sun and the Moon, Souper Game, and Yoshima: Hentai Simulator are also on itch.io!

Why was it an "attempt" to play? Because The Divine Speaker: The Sun and the Moon couldn't be recorded while playing (though it just now occurred to me I could have tried downloading the demo from itch.io...) and Yoshima: Hentai Simulator's demo is no longer available. I didn't think to check after it launched, so, if there was a warning, I missed it. Oh well. Their loss. More on that later.

However, I will still be able to give my opinion, via the "Layered Compliment Sandwich":

The Divine Speaker: The Sun and the Moon looks excellent! If I remember, I'll use the demo on itch.io to see if it can be recorded. From the little bit I was able to show, I think it would be worth the attempt. The art design of the Title Screen was whimsical, except for the two men, which was why the realism style of the game wasn't unexpected or offputting. Sorry you couldn't see it. Thankfully, it's free if you saw enough to want to check it out yourself.

My Lovely Empress' kept me playing because it had a flaw I wanted to see to fruition; the empress we were trying to resurrect specifically said, when finding the cure for her ailment was brought up, she wouldn't have the people dying on her conscience. She wanted the people suffering from the destruction of the storm to be helped instead. How will bringing her back to life, then her finding out we killed a bunch of people to make it happen, make her feel? And, as tempting as it was to leave it there, I did mention in the video I would be commenting on the art and design, so... I love animators and artists who ensure each character has a personality. Made even more possible by the art being absolutely gorgeous!

Souper Game was bizarre in a great way. One would think a clicking game of this type wouldn't be entertaining, but it had a unique charm to it that had me wondering how things were going to play out. The art is great! Everyone has a clear personality, even the soup! I made it very clear I didn't appreciate the officer letting the troll be a, well, dipshit troll, but he was a pig. Literally. If that was a message, I'm loving it. They even made fun of the sheep being a sheep. Loved that too! One thing I REALLY need to praise the game for was the fact the Steam and the itch.io demos fed off each other, which I switched to because of the next demo no longer being available. It picked up where I left off in the Steam demo. How the FUCK did they do that? Well fucking done! I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

The decision to revoke Yoshima: Hentai Simulator's demo resulted in the loss of a customer. Those who had already downloaded it on Steam should have been allowed to continue playing it. I checked the games page on itch.io and the demo is now locked behind a paywall. I'm more disappointed than I am mad. The purpose of a demo is to show people what to expect when they play your game, or, at the very least, give people an idea of what your game is. To take it away right after it launches is a valuable opportunity flushed down the toilet. Now, it's either get a sale and hope it doesn't get a refund, or get no sale at all. In this case, due to disappointment, this will be the last time I look at the game.

Overall, I want My Lovely Empress, and Souper Game, and they are on my wishlist.

As a reminder, The Divine Speaker: The Sun and the Moon, My Lovely Empress, and Yoshima: Hentai Simulator are all Available, and Souper Game will be available in 2025.
